2 3 4 1 CASTING REGIONAL SHOOT SCOUTING LONDON SHOOT Destinational shopping is increasingly reliant on experience. For this reason we create an element of theatre around the process of scouting, making every applicant feel special. No one is turned away and everyone involved in the process leaves feeling great about themselves and an advocate of the centre. As a unique face to face engagement we seek out additional opportunities for sampling and promoting relevant merchandise and services. We schedule two scouting days two weeks apart. The sessions are pre-promoted via our website and the centre’s social media, posters and public address announcements. Contestants are scouted, photographed and registered. Albums of all contesants are uploaded to centre Facebook pages generating phenomenal reach and engagement. The best models in each of four age categories are invited via Facebook post, text, letter and email to a casting. This facilitates a unique opportunity not only to entertain, reward and inspire up to 80 contestants but also to enjoy a face to face chat with customers. Judging at the casting sessions is carried out by media partners (local press and radio), store managers and centre teams. The event is managed by the Modelsearch team. Refreshments are provided at a centre restaurant and more images are taken for social media and shared with contestants. The sessions are split by category and integrate a brief review of the modelling industry and face to face interviews. All those invited receive a framed award with goodie bags for the younger contestants. In a photo hungry environment, the regional shoot generates a library of stylish imagery for centres and at the same time provides a unique experience for models. Our Modelsearch stylists visit stores and work with managers to select current merchandise for a male and female model in each age category. We create a pop-up studio and schedule the shoot over one day with photographers, stylists and make-up artists. We can also enlist the support of hairdressers and beauticians on site to showcase their skills. Social media will be used for live feeds and boomerang shots and, at the end of the day, we will deliver a portfolio of photos including lifestyle pictures of the centre, fashion imagery for a double page spread, magazine or blog and any specific shots to be used as social media tiles. The culmination of the eighteen month programmes is the London shoot. In association with centres, one overall winner is selected from all eight categories and invited to an all expenses paid trip to London. The models, a chaperone or friend stay in a studio apartment overlooking the London Eye at the Plaza Hotel. They travel by limousine to the Plough Studios in Clapham. At the studio we have a full team of make up artists, stylists and hairdressers. They are photographed by Lou Denim an international fashion photographer, who works alongside lighting technicians and a videographer. The resultant imagery can be seen in this brochure and is provided to all the models via a digital portfolio. Video and pictures of this final process are shared with media in each location providing a national fashion story with a regional twist.
